This works!
We have a 5 year old French bulldog that has environmental allergies. We have tried several supplements with mixed reviews. After two weeks of using Zesty Paws, she has not been biting or picking her paws. Scratching is minimal and her coat and skin feel much better. Ears and wrinkles also much less irritation. Highly recommend.

Helps with itching and allergies—but results can take time
These allergy chews are a popular option for dogs dealing with itchy skin, ears, or seasonal allergies. They’re made with ingredients like EpiCor®, probiotics, colostrum, and astragalus root, which help support immune function and gut health—both important for managing allergy symptoms. They’re easy to give as treats, and most dogs seem to enjoy the taste, which makes daily use simple. Over time, they can help reduce itching, scratching, and irritation, especially when allergies are mild to moderate. One of the biggest benefits is that they target the issue from the inside out by supporting digestion and immune response, not just masking symptoms. On the downside, results are not immediate—it can take a few weeks of consistent use to notice improvement. They also won’t completely replace medications for severe allergies, and some dogs may not respond as strongly as others.Overall: A helpful daily supplement for managing mild allergy symptoms and supporting overall health—just be patient and consistent for best results.Great for ongoing allergy support—think gradual improvement, not instant results

Helped my Husky’s Paws (salmon variety)
My dog has very furry feet, and it doesn’t take much to cause an irritation. I have tried two different medicated sprays to help treat the hot spots created by constant licking, but as any dog owner knows, this is a challenging treatment to administer. I tried these chews as a last ditch effort. Happy to say that after giving my pup 1 chew a day, (44 lbs), his paws cleared up after less than 2 weeks and have remained that way! No negative side effects noted. He’s happy to get his vitamin everyday!

Results Have Been Better Than Expected.
My dog has been suffering with terrible allergies. Started using these chews and his skin has calmed down and coat condition has drastically improved. Very happy with the results.

Did not alleviate our 4 year old Pug’s itchiness.
I bought these on the recommendation of another Pug owner, who swears by these chews, saying that her Pug has not had itchy skin since taking these. I specifically bought these for our one male Pug (4 years old) who is extremely itchy; neither Apoquel pills nor Cytopoint injections help. We have 2 Pugs and 2 Frenchies, the youngest Frenchie (3 years old) gets Cytopoint injections 6-8 weeks. Although we give these chews to all of the dogs, we’ve noticed no difference in any of them, but, most importantly, the 4 year old Pug. ALL of our dogs seem to love the taste of the chews, though, but, based on my experience, these did nothing to alleviate his itchiness.

Great for seasonal allergies!
I am a retired veterinary technician and have a dog who has seasonal allergies, and food allergies. His symptoms consist mostly of scratching at his face, and chewing his feet. The food allergies have been controlled by putting him on a limited ingredient diet. The seasonal allergies usually started up in April and last until November, and required antihistamines. Last spring my vet convinced me to try the prescription medication Apoquel which is an immunosuppressive. At first it seemed like magic, my dog had zero allergy symptoms. Then after being on the medication for a few months, my dog developed a histiocytoma (a benign tumor) on his lip. These are typically seen in puppies and young dogs – my dog was 4 yrs. old at the time. These usually go away on their own after a few months and that is exactly what happened – no big deal (other than a trip to the vet to confirm that it was in fact a histiocytoma and not a more aggressive tumor). Several months later, while still on Apoquel, my dog started chewing on his right front leg, up near where the leg and body meet (his front “armpit” if you will). He was also shedding like crazy – HUGE amounts of fur. He ended up with a large area of hair loss and red angry looking skin on his right front leg. He would not leave it alone. This happened after the allergy season. I bought a sleeve to keep him away from it, and took him to the vet (again). She did a skin scraping to check for bacterial infection, yeast infection, or mange which were all negative, and then suggested putting him on prednisone (another immunosuppressant) in addition to the Apoquel and Zyrtec. I told her I had been reading up on Apoquel and some of the side effects included histiocytomas and demodectic mange. I told her I was going to pull him off of the Apoquel (which needed to be done by weaning over a few weeks). She suggested I could try a dose of Bravecto which is used for fleas and ticks, but also is very effective in treating demodectic mange mites just in case the negative scraping was due to a low population of mites. Within a week of getting him off of the Apoquel and using the Bravecto his skin calmed down, and at that time I noticed that his entire coat was thinning – more noticeably on his right side. Once he was off of that nasty drug it took a few months for his fur to grow back. This year before allergy season started, I decided to read up on supplements for allergies. I chose Zesty Paws because of all of the good reviews, and the company’s reputation. I started giving them to my dog in March and now well into allergy season have not seen ANY of his usual allergy symptoms. Also, his coat looks beautiful again!

Great taste and good results
We’ve been using these for our chocolate Lab mix for about a year now. He has a lot of allergies, and this definitely helps most of the time. During really heavy pollen season, we still need to get a Cytopoint shot, but these chews seem to keep things under control the rest of the year. The best part is that he absolutely loves them — he thinks it’s the best treat ever, which makes giving it to him super easy. They’ve helped reduce his itching, and overall he just seems more comfortable. They’re not a miracle cure during peak allergy season, but as part of his regular routine, we’re happy with the results and plan to keep using them.

After a few weeks of use I saw a dramatic decline in the amount of itching. Her sores have now healed.

While it does not eliminate the itchiness completely, I stop the long term medication as it helps lessen scratches and licking to a certain degree. Will continue to purchase this for my fur kids.

Whatever they put into here is absolutely incredible. I read another review and decided to try it. My springer spaniel was losing hair and turning blonde. He was so cold last winter because he had no hair he actually walked himself home from the dog park. I had tried so many different things and spent thousands of dollars in vet bills. I decided that I would give this a shot as nothing else had worked and within a couple of months all of his hair grew back and it is luscious and beautiful. He has way less skin problems and is absolutely thriving. He is eight years old and still acts like a puppy. I could not recommend this product more if your dog has any sort of skin or for issues definitely try it.

My darlings do suffer immune probs so the eldest gets daily meds plus Zesty. She seems much better her nose less dry and scabby but is it Zesty or the meds or the mix of both that has helped? Who knows. The test is….I’m reordering!

Gave my dog a total of 3 chews on 3 separate days and she experienced vomiting and diarrhea. She is healthy and this by far was the worse we had ever seen her. I would definitely consult with a vet next time around.
