Worth the Money
I bought this because my cat had been ill recently and I needed to monitor her temperature. The unit is compact, and easy to use. The reading is very fast, making it less stressful for my fur baby. It feels sturdy in the hand and it’s easy to read the temperature. The reading was accurate – it matched the one that the vet received during an appointment.

Accurate
I purchased this when I felt like my older thermometers weren’t accurate anymore. It definitely registers different temperature (better) than my old ones so that is confirmed. Easy to use and read. A few things tho – it doesn’t beep to let you know it’s ready to take a temp and the display doesn’t show you anything until it registers a temperature. At first I thought it wasn’t broken but thats just how it works.

Seems fast and accurate.Original review: My dog is going through cancer treatment, so I need to have a reliable thermometer to monitor that she doesn’t get an infection while her white blood cells are decreased. As soon as this arrived, I read the included instructions and tried testing it in heated water against two other thermometers I had on-hand (one being a kitchen thermometer, and the other being a human thermometer). This pet thermometer was about 2 degrees F less than the other two, making it unreliable for my needs. I repeated the test about 4 times over the course of an hour, and the results were always off.
