Wow this kit is way above others I have tried
Wow this is a serious heavy duty kit! The most rugged and heftiest I have ever had or seen even at conventions. And I’m a seasoned peepost and thru hiker and there’s a lot of gear crossover so I’ve got maybe 6 different kits that each have their strengths and weaknesses. Usually the biggest weakness is quality of the pieces.This set does not have that issue. These pieces are solid, strong materials, and would gold up to normal tool use even for most of them. These aren’t flimsy one time use components that are prone to failing in an actual survival scenario and exist more for show or fun backyard training. This is the type of gear that will actually save the day if it ever came down to it.The kit isn’t cheap. I was a bit sticker shocked but wanted to try it for myself cause the pictures looked too good to be true. I half expected this to show up and it all fall apart upon opening. Ive had some pretty bad experiences with competitive products being a major let down and only being a good idea or visually appealing but ended up being entirely unusable, impractical or fragile and not holding up to testing.Upon first unpacking, all of the components are here. It’s an impressive array when spread out on a table. The whole kit itself is very dense but well packed and amazingly all fits in the hard case perfectly without issues. Once you figure out how to get it all back in the first time, it’s easy to pack and unpack.The items in the kit are well thought out, and complement each other in that they cover the wide range of scenarios you could potentially run into, that you would want to have gear for, so I can tell the company has done a lot of research on the subject and chose each individual item for a good reason. Also each item seems to potentially have multiple uses for different scenarios without having to have separate kits with more specialty items that are only individual uses. So I find this much more practical to invest in and have around when needed.I have tested out all of the individual components around the farm and can confirm that they should last quite a while. Each individual one is better quality than solo items I have purchased, and items present in other kits that I have. From the base material, to the hinges and accessories and different components, this feels like a professional kit that would be essential to have around in a glove box of a vehicle, near a first aid kit in the home, And I would definitely love to take something like this with me on the boat or in my backpack when hiking so I am prepped for any scenario that arises.I still am going to take this out on a field test this spring, but So far it’s perform better than all the alternatives I have or have tried, so I have no doubt that it’s field performance is going to be superior and I will get multiple uses out of this before needing to replace any components.Obviously there are some smaller components that are basic, but those are very affordable to replace if there’s an issue. Like the Mylar blanket. But even that is not the flimsiest I have used. The same thing with the wire saw, I’ve had some splinter immediately, where is this actually would be really good on a wooden bow.

Packed with great items.
As a hunter and outdoor enthusiast, I’ve always needed a survival kit, for those just in case moments in the Colorado mountains. Perhaps I’ve just been lucky to this point, and I decided to make sure I’ve covered for the unexpected. This kit looked like one I would appreciate. Upon opening the box and examining the contents, I was very pleasantly surprised with the array of items that would actually be useful in a variety of scenarios, from fire starter, to knives, to finger saws, and a blanket. The only reason I’m giving this a 4 star is because of my tendency to get away from the roads and people and it’s weight is on the heavy side. If it’s for keeping in the car, not an issue, but throwing it in a backpack to hike many miles, there are some heavy duty items I’d rather leave behind or get a lighter version of. But that’s just preference on my part. Good quality kit that I’ll probably carry most of it with me for years to come.
