Not quiet — it’s silent!
Pre-washed all the pieces before assembling — unit is easy to put together. Comes with a tiny brush to help with routine maintenance cleaning that is recommended bi-weekly. Filters are easy to install but should be pre-soaked to reduce tainting the water. Our cat was initially put off. (I would recommend cycling water for 2-4 hours, then rinsing the filters and fountain again to clear any lingering “flavor”.) The 2-piece configuration with power and inductive pump motor is a great configuration. You can remove and refill or service the upper water container and not worry about having the electrical portion exposed to water: i.e. the water basin sits on the power/electromagnet base and can be removed separately. The inductive pump motor sits in the water basin and pushes water up the outflow spout above to serve your cat. The sub-pieces of the water basin and pump can be removed and separated for cleaning then reassembled.The unit is silent — not just quiet as compared to our previous cat fountain. Even the outflow from the spigot falls so quietly that it seemed to unnerve our cat. It took several days for him to get used to using it (which included the use of treats to get him close to the unit). Because the proximity switch makes him jumpy as it starts when he gets close, we’ve opted for continuous running — continuous flow only occurs if the unit stays plugged in.The unit is smaller than expected for 2.5L but works well for our single cat household. The base will alert you with lights when it needs to be recharged (if running on battery) or if water level is low.Very nice unit and highly recommended

Quiet, works well, easy to clean, cat loves!
I keep this plugged in for peace of mind so I cannot comment on battery but my cat and I love this foundation. It turns off when the water is too low. I don’t have to fill it to the top for it to function (important because I don’t need to waste water – I need to replace the filters before my single cat household drinks up a full tank of water – so I fill it only halfway). So easy to clean due to its shape, the minimal and intuitive parts, the tools provided, and because there is no cord to worry about. I love popping the lid into the dishwasher! The pump runs quietly and there is just enough water movement to keep my cat interested but not for it to be too noisy. And…my cat loves to drink from it.

Never thought I’d buy a cat fountain but I love it
Let me start by saying, I used to think this type of device was ridiculous and never imagined myself buying one willingly. Having said that, one of my cats basically refuses to drink water unless it’s moving, which means she would ignore the dish of perfectly clean fresh water and would then try to knock you over any time you turned on the tap to wash your hands/dishes/etc.I have young children so wanted something that didn’t have to be plugged in all the time. This product had some good reviews and fit the bill. The motion feature works quickly enough that the cats aren’t confused waiting for it to turn on. The battery life on the base is ok. Im usually charging it about once a week or so? I wish the basin was stainless and not just the top., but other than that I have no complaints. I also appreciate that you get two filter setups so it’s easy to switch and doesn’t render the fountain out of commission when it’s time to clean (which is also easy to do). Overall a great product and worth the money.

Cat is confused at change but loves it!
Recently changed fountains for my boy and though he was confused the fountain has worked like a charm. Helped with my cat’s acne. I have to second the other reviews that you absolutely MUST be on top of maintenance every two weeks for this guy to function properly. It does have trouble working if you don’t but that’s the product working as intended. Gunk can build up in the motor so just make sure to clean it with the given tools.

Decent product
So, first, my 4 star rating is due to my two 1 year old cats destroying it and turning it into a play thing. It simply isnt big enough for them, and they move it and dump it over, spilling the water everywhere.It is quite, I can not hear it working at all, it is very nice and easy to clean and refill. I used the battery function a few times, but my cats where not please that they couldn’t get more water, they are greedy. The battery option worked fine, turned off until the cats came around, however, if they sat there too long, it would turn off, and then cat mayhem, This puts out a decent supply of water and there is plenty of it for a happy, un-terroristic cat.

All Three Cats Love It! Would Recommend.
I did some heavy research on fountains before purchasing this one. We’ve had it for about 4 months now. All three of our cats use it multiple times a day and ignore the water bowls in the other rooms. The indicator light blinks red when it needs water, and the charger light blinks white when it needs charging. The first time you charge it, it takes about 6-8 hours, but subsequent charges take less time. The charge does indeed last a very long time. And the turn-on sensor is pretty accurate. I just wish it lasted more than 43 seconds (odd amount of time). I frequently have to wave my arm in front of it while my cats are mid-drink to keep it coming out of the spout (they all drink longer than 43 seconds!) If not, they drink from the bowl part instead of the spout. We only feed dry cat food in our house, so the cats drink a lot of water. This fountain works great and is reasonably priced. It’s easy to clean, and the charging cord is super long so you can leave it on the floor while charging and the cats can still drink. Would recommend.

Great for my cats
I like this water fountain for my cats. I needed one that worked on battery so it didnt need to be plugged in all the time. This one pumps the water when anything walks by, motion sensor, so it conserves battery pretty well. The cats also like that it stops running after a short while, so they get fresh water, but its not continuously running. Great product

Love that the pump is cordless as cords in water fountains tend to get slimy easily. Very quiet especially when it’s on the bubbling mode.One minus point is the filter cover is very hard to remove. Had to pull it open with quite a bit of force and I was afraid of breaking it! Petlibto should look into improving the design of the filter cover
