How did we get our start?

Foxtail was originally made by Klutz Press in 1996. After Klutz was acquired by Scholastic the Foxtail fell off of the market for years, Cassidy Labs found the original inventor and they relaunched it! Their goal was simple: keep the iconic toy and brand alive, and stay true to it’s quality construction and wholesome roots.

Did you change anything from the originals?

Nope! The Foxtail Sport and the Foxtail Softie are exactly as they were in the 90s. High quality materials and construction that will last for years and years of regular use (sometimes decades).

Foxtail Sport

The Sport is the original Foxtail you probably remember from your childhood. It has a leather baseball at the end.

Foxtail Softie

The Foxtail Softie was also made in the 90s, and is aimed at a younger audience. It’s got a soft, bonk-the-brother-safe ball at the end. No tears and perfect for working on your hand eye coordination.

Foxtail LED

This Foxtail is new, and has a few glowing LEDs inside of a foam ball. It’s a bit heavier than the Foxtail Softie and so can fly a little farther. It’s perfect for games of catch that stretch into the evening.

This Foxtail is the original, with the baseball ball on the front. To play, you simply spin to throw and catch by the tail! That’s the heart of Foxtail. You’ll be surprised how far you can throw , and how fun it is to catch. The three color tail isn’t just for good looks, there is a game based around that. Catch red, nearest the ball, and score the most points!
Includes game booklet! The booklet is filled with various games to play with the Foxtail. The basic Foxtail game is also sewn on to the fabric label directly on the toy.

Recommended for Ages 8 and Above. The Foxtail Sport (that’s this one) comes with a leather baseball at the end, so it’s great for throwing and catching at farther distances. If you’re looking for a Foxtail for anyone under the age of 8, check out the Foxtail Softie or the Foxtail LED. They have softer balls at the end. They don’t throw as far, but they are also safer for learning throwers.
