After building a world-famous brand and multiple companies, Jesse James has one goal: helping others find success in what they love.
Throughout his career, Jesse James has been known as many things: star of Discover Channel’s Monster Garage, criminal, thrill seeker, husband, father, entrepreneur. With all these titles, Jesse has built his empire on one common theme—hard work. In an era of instant gratification, he knows the value of persistence and how discovering your passions can springboard you to success when you cultivate and pursue them with dedication, creativity, and care.
But success isn’t just about creating a successful business, the fame, or the money. It’s about seizing every opportunity to learn and grow. It’s about the person you are behind the scenes.
A business book unlike any other, The Art of the Craftsman gives a detailed, candid look at what it took to build his empire from the ground up, the value of hard work, and how he kept pushing once he reached the top. Featuring Jesse’s raw candor, humor, and decades of skill, this no-BS book provides practical advice and useful lessons that anyone can apply to their life or business by:
Understanding the true value of craftsmanshipFinding the confidence to forge your own pathTaking care of yourself—as well as your businessBuilding long-term relationships with customersNot settling for mediocre work (or expecting instant success)
With his unique perspective and hard-won wisdom, Jesse not only shares memorable stories, but leaves readers with a clear road map toward life’s work that is not only profitable but personally fulfilling—and reminds us all to never settle for anything less than the best.

An important book thats also a fast read⚒️
This was a very helpful, insightful and motivating book about work ethic skilled trades and life as whole. As somebody who’s had to fire my own sister who was stealing from me, this book really hit home. I needed inspiration and a different perspective, especially after reaching some level of burnout at my shop. I read the first half of the book, went to the shop, completed a small project and then came back and finished the 2nd half.

Like a good song on repeat
Good book but it was a lot of repeating itself. The same point that could have been a 20 page short story kept getting used over and over but worded differently to create a 200 page book. It’s worth the read but I was expecting more

If there ever was a book that gave you the game, this is it.
I’ve risen, fell, and am starting all over again out of the home garage. Health health health, this cannot be stressed enough and it hits so close to home because I didn’t watch it while I was in a great position to succeed. Good listen while working in the garage, probably going to be on loop for a few weeks.

Pre ordered this book. Did not disappoint, cracked it open yesterday when it arrived and finished it right now. Couldn’t put it down, easy read, more like a mentor talking directly to you, full of inspiration. Very satisfied.Book actual size is perfect, fits in my coveralls pocket for a quick read during breaks. If you’re considering buying this book, stop and just buy it. You won’t regret it.
