No worries as long as I have the Kwik Stop ready to use.
I always have Miracle Care Kwik Stop ready to use when I clip my dog’s nails. I am very careful and try to judge by the color of the nail, but once in a while I just get too close and it bleeds. Just dip a wet q-tip in the powder and apply to the nail for a few minutes and the bleeding stops. I try to file the nails before they get too long. My little dog doesn’t mind and is very at ease. The quality is great and works fast. The size is just right and I just scoop a little on a piece of wax paper.

Works really well especially with accidental cut of the quick. My dog has black nails and have cut a couple of his where it bled. Stopped the bleeding immediately. Have also used it on a cut on his foot pad. Works immediately.

This works so fast. I always did the flour method, but it isn’t fast working. This surprised me with how quickly it worked. I’ve only knicked her nails too short a couple times, but it can be scary. The last time my dog didn’t even know it happened

I purchased Miracle Care Kwik Stop Styptic Powder to keep on hand since we trim our dog’s nails at home between vet visits. I had seen our veterinarian use a similar product before, so I felt confident adding it to our at-home grooming supplies. It’s reassuring to know it’s formulated to stop bleeding quickly and contains benzocaine to help relieve pain if you accidentally cut a nail too short. The smell isn’t terrible either, which I appreciate since some pet products can be overpowering. While the loose powder format can be a little tricky to apply neatly, it still gives me peace of mind knowing I have something effective ready just in case.That said, I was disappointed with the packaging of the bottle we received. There was no seal, and the outside of the container felt powdery before opening, as if some had leaked out. When I opened it, the bottle appeared to be only about one-third full. So the cost is a little pricey for the amount included, in my opinion. Even with those concerns, it’s a well-known and trusted grooming essential, and I do feel more confident trimming our dog’s nails at home with this on hand.

Tried and true claw helper…
I was delighted to find this on Amazon. It was a staple in the dog grooming salon I worked in 1980’s! If you accidentally hit your dogs nail quick dip the vise in the stip til powder and halts the bleeding. 🩸 no one wants to tip the quick, but sometimes it happens. It is reminiscent of talc powder but more affective. For years gentlemen hafe used it for shaving faux pas. If you’re grooming your dog, acquire this to add to your first aid kit. Simple and affective. It low odor. More a mineral. This is the real deal.

Clotting Agent for PETS
This powder is used to stop blooding and enhance clotting. This is used for nail trimming oopsies. Quality is great! Powder is fine grained. The ease of this powder comes with time but you can pour some in your hand and dip the bleeding nail into your palm with the powder or with some type of cotton.

Great product to have on hand when clipping dog claws for the occasional mis-cut
Great to have on hand when trimming dog claws. Works fast and effective to stop bleeding if you cut the quick of the claw. We have 2 German Shepherd Dogs and they tend to pull their paws away when trimming their claws….these occasionally leads to a mis-cut. This styptic powder product is highly effective and fast to get the bleeding to clot. A pinch pressed against the cut tip of the claw with a few seconds of pressure to keep it in place is all that is needed for it to form a clot. We have had the same container for the past 4 years and pull it out at the ready every time we trim claws, just in case. The only issue we have with this product is the lid does not stay on very well. We solved that issue by placing a large square of saran wrap over the top before replacing the lid….it gets stored in a small ziplock bag along with the claw clippers and has not leaked once in the 4 years we have had it. I would definitely buy again to replenish if/when we run out.

I got this after a couple of “bloody” incidents while clipping my dog’s nails. It does exactly what it says – just a small amount is enough to stop the bleeding. I do wish I’d get better at clipping her nails so I wouldn’t need to use this, but it feels great knowing I have it on hand for peace of mind.

Kwik Stop is AMAZING! We have used it for years and years. But, our new local pet store carries other styptic powder brands so we bought them after we ran out of Kwik Stop. None of the other brands worked half as well. Kwik Stop stops the bleeding on our dogs paws almost instantly if we accidentally cut a nail quick too short. We didn’t even realize that other brands didn’t work as well until we tried them so we drove around looking for Kwik Stop and couldn’t find it in any local stores. Thank goodness for Amazon. We ordered it and It arrived in 2 days
