TROPIC ENVY: A Luke Angel Mystery
$0.00
FAME COULD BE THE DEATH OF HIM
For pilot and mechanic Luke Angel, the local airport is his home. But a community of attention seekers, hotheads, and daredevils isn’t a quiet place to do business. After a selfless act of heroism is caught on camera, Luke is thrust into an unwanted spotlight, and he’s getting to know more of his neighbors than he’d bargained for; including the bombshell influencer, the disgruntled instructor, and a snarky corporate charter captain.
When a surprising death rocks the community, Luke is left picking up the pieces—and some of them don’t fit.
Even the blistering Florida sun can’t illuminate all the secrets hidden on this airfield, especially when at least one person will resort to murder to keep it that way. Digging into the trouble has Luke’s reputation going down in flames, and if he doesn’t get to the bottom of the mystery fast, he may be his airport’s next departure.
Strap in and hold on, because the twists in this aerobatic mystery will leave you breathless.

TROPIC ENVY gets a strong Thumbs UP
TROPIC ENVY is the 4th book in Nate Van Coops’ Luke Angel TROPIC series, and it’s another whopper! The author has checked all the boxes to make this book a fast-paced, enjoyable read: adventure, mystery, intrigue, romance, murder, tarnished friendships, suspicion and more. The action in TROPIC ENVY begins with an insane skydiving outing gone wrong and Luke saving the day. But then he gets dissed unmercifully when social media rears its ugly head. The rest of the tale involves Luke’s attempts to put things right and solve a “maybe” murder while trying to stay in business. TROPIC ENVY is a fascinating read…so vivid you can almost feel the Florida heat and humidity. I recommend it wholeheartedly.

Another great tropic adventure.
Wow. I’d leave it at that, but Amazon likes a higher word count. Each book in the series has been excellent, and this one doesn’t disappoint. It’s like a freight train, starting out slow, gradually going faster, and then going down a grade making ninety miles an hour. Maybe a poor simile for an aviation book, since it certainly isn’t a train wreck, but it really gets exciting. The twist toward the end was completely unexpected. These are the best aviation novels around today.

Tropic Envy
This author gets better with each novel. Thanks to him, I can now converse in ‘plane-ese’ with my neighborhood pilot.

Love this series.
The fourth installment is a good addition to this entertaining series. If you like mysteries, I think you will like this book and the whole series. The ending is quite exciting. The book is well written and edited and easy to read. I first found this author when I came across his “Times Like These” time travel series years ago. If you like time travel novels, you should check those out too.

Another Great Nate which kept me up late 🙂
I loved this book! I hope we see more of Sierra in future books — she was a lot of fun. Nate is good at all the genres but I do really enjoy Luke and his crew. The stories are quick paced with many fun twists & turns & excitement, as usual! Thank you for another great read!

A suspenseful story for the modern pilot
I don’t know why but I had assumed that the Archangel series was a trilogy. When I saw Tropic Envy pop up on Amazon I ordered it immediately! As a pilot I loved the aviation details the author has woven into the story. Whether it be the type of characters you can find at airports across America, or Federal regulations snuck in. When does class A begin? You can clearly sense Van Coops love of general aviation coming through in the story and characters.I was impressed by how the author has written a book set firmly in the present, with lots of references to modern aviation cliches and the new generation of aviation influencers.I’m excited for more books which may be coming in this series!

Love this authors books
It took a while to get into the book. The first half was about planes and licensing processes, and if your not an airplane butt it was lacked.. but then the fun stuff started and it was a great action packed fun book to read. This author writes a real variety of different types of books. I got hooked on his writing reading time travel books and it went on from there. Great writer. He cant write fast enough for a lot of his readers.

If you like planes you will love this. If not…
If you are an airplane enthusiast then you will love this book. If not, you might find all the airplane info boring. I know I did. I did like the storyline & the characters. The author does a great job making you feel part of the action. But for me, I just don’t care for all the technical airplane, pilot, & airport information. The storyline with the social media slant rings true for many. That part I found very interesting.
