Purina ONE Lamb and Rice is a staple in our home.
Purina ONE Lamb and Rice formula is our go-to brand for our two GSP dogs. This formula keeps their poop nice and firm, their coat is shiny and my older dog seems to digest this type better than others. I believe it’s easy on his joints as well. The ingredients are great and our dogs love it. If your dog suffers from diarrhea, it could be chicken…try Lamb. The dogs love the mix of crunchy and chewy morsels and I really feel like it’s keeping them healthy.

It is almost the same weight and size of my dog. She is a bull dog and seems to love the chuck of meat products in the food. Especially while mixing her serving with just enough hot water to hydrate the chow.

My dogs are very picky and this seems to be the only brand they will consistently eat. The price is also very good considering everything has gone up quite a bit in the last few years. I only give it a 4 because most places could crest with better ingredients 🙂

Purina One is my dog’s favorite!
My Jack Russell is picky. He doesn’t like a lot of brands, but he likes this one! He’s kind of picky about the size of the kibbles too- he doesn’t like them too small or too big (“and these are just right!). It must taste good, and it smells good- unlike some dog foods. The price is in the medium range. It’s worth it to pay a little more, because there is less waste.

Our dogs like this
I know Purina One is not considered the snootiest of dog foods, but our dogs like it and thrive on it. We used to go to specialty shops (sometimes quite a drive) to buy those fancy brands, but they got to where they’re ridiculously expensive. Finally we were like, “Nope, can’t do this anymore.” Our vet says this brand is just fine and our dogs are healthy.My only complaint is that our local grocery store stopped selling this 8 lb size bag. They only sell the 16.5 lb bag, which is too big and goes stale faster, so we order this 8 lb size on Amazon. Kind of a pain, but it works.

The difference?
I have bought lamb and rice 28 times through Amazon.The last two I bought at a walk in store.There was a big difference in the kibble. A lot of big chunks what they call the meat.My dogs hated it. My Aussie is an eating fiend. He buried it.I received my Amazon order they loved it.So if there is a difference in quality Amazon or box store,Mine prefer Amazon
