Our oldest dog Copa is 12 and has arthritis and a tear in his rear (passenger side). He has been getting Meloxidyl daily, laser treatments of the hips and knees every 3 weeks, adequan injections every month and daily doses of tramadol pain killers (4 on good days, 6 on bad days) after 6 months of this course of treatment his healing had leveled off, Without the drugs he is in bad shape, with them he does ok and just either limps or uses 3 paws for getting around. He still wants to go for a walk everyday, still wants to hike (not gonna happen) and still loves to play with his sister and run around the yard.A friend of ours who is a retired vet recommended Duralactin. He admitted he wasn’t completely sure why it worked but had seen it work wonders on dogs with similar problems. So today is 5 months and although Copa will not be hiking again anytime soon, we have no more limping, no more holding up his paw, no more trouble getting up, no heavy panting when he was in between doses, no temporary lameness when he was a few days short of his laser treatment. Just a good old dog that is getting along just fine.He still gets a few tramadol a day (mostly for our sake), we still have him on the other treatments (mostly to help our vet pay for his second home) and he still goes for laser treatments on the hips and knees, but it’s about every 6 weeks now and there is no noticeable sign that he needs it or it helps. If he didn’t have bad arthritis I would probably take him off everything else – but we are happy to give him the works when it comes to medical treatment in order to make sure he is with us as long as possible.I love duralactin, have recommended it to other pet owners and although it doesn’t seem to make sense to us why it works – you dog will attest to the fact it does.As far as how long it takes. Copa seemed to have improvement after 30 days and every month since gets noticeably better.

Please do your dog a favor and buy this.
I have never left a review for a product before, so hopefully you’ll understand how amazing this product is that I felt the need to do this. One of my dogs has several medical complications including an autoimmune disorder where she has to be on a steroid for the rest of her life. When she had a relapse and I had to increase the prednisone, she partially tore her ACL do to the fluidity in her joints from the meds. She couldn’t have surgery because of her medications. I tell you all this so you can understand my desperation to find something to help her be comfortable. I tried pain meds and other joint supplements including movoflex and dasuquin. NSAIDs are not an option due to her being on steroids. After a couple months of struggling to find something to help her since she now had a limp and obviously didn’t have the same drive to run or play anymore, I had an internist vet recommend this product. Since there were no risks of complications with her conditions, I gave it a shot. She has been on this product for a little over a year now, and I can’t begin to express the difference it has made in her. She was on this for about a month and a half to two months when I noticed a drastic change. (Make sure you give this time to work; the protein needs to build up in their system.) She wanted to run and play and jump like she used to. The only time she walks with a limp now is if she’s had a lot of activity during the day. This product is not only one of the least expensive option for joint health in dogs but it does the most good. My only complaint is it does have a decently strong vanilla odor, so sometimes I have to cover it in cheese or her food to get her to eat it. My other dog is now showing symptoms of arthritis so I’m not even hesitating on putting her in this as well. I can’t recommend this product strongly enough. All I can say is thank you to whomever created this product because it saved my dog’s life.

bought this product after it was recommended from a friend to help with our dog’s leg …
bought this product after it was recommended from a friend to help with our dog’s leg problem. It has not been quite a month yet, so the “jury is still out ” on how well it improves his leg. He does readily eat the tablets and must enjoy the taste and smell of it,,(smells like vanilla) He views it like a treat, so hoping it will improve his leg issues. After another month if we see an improvement in his walking I would give it a 5 star rating as it is much more preferred than a perscription solution that can effect his liver and is very cost prohibitive.

I think this was helpful for inflammation and my dogs think they are yummy 🙂
As with most supplements, I’m never really sure if they are actually working, or it’s all in my head (or even my dogs’ heads). So I’m going to go with what I know for a fact for this review. My vet suggested we start using this for it’s anti-infammatory properties. It’s meant more for dogs with arthritis, but a few of mine suffer a bit from allergies and get shots every 3 months. We were hoping this medicine would help with the dogs’ allergies, as well as his on/off limp for no reason, so we wouldn’t have to give them so many steroids.1. They are extremely easy to give to my dogs since they love the flavor. Heck, even I want one since they smell so good. Even Mr. Picky eats his (though it took some convincing at first).2. It took a few weeks, but the first thing I noticed was that the limp disappeared. The poodle is back to jumping around and being his usual spry self.I’m not so sure about helping with the allergies, as it is winter and the season is over. However, I will be keeping these on hand and continuing them into the spring to see if I notice any difference with the change of the seasons. I will try to remember to update this and let people know what I find out.

It is been a week I do see a little difference in my dog walking, he got in an accident couple years ago, now it is getting harder on his body to run and get up faster, I do give him other stuff to with Duralactin. So far looks like helping him al lot.

We have been using this product for a little over 5 weeks for our dog’s hygromas (elbow swelling) and haven’t seen a change yet. We have added the application of DMSO gel to the lumps 3 days ago to see if together the hygromas will reduce in size. We have ordered more Duralactin in the hopes it will work and from what we have read so far, it can take up to 3 months before seeing any results. Maybe by then we can rate the product higher.

Used this for my 15 yr old husky who has lost muscle tone which had caused inflammation as happens with senior dogs. I am not a fan of prescription meds as they make him sleepy and he loves to walk. Duralactin is a great alternative
