Cut and fun to do
These are so cute and after they are done you can take the beads out and use again. It says 6-8 year old, but my5 year old granddaughter love it and had no problem

I got this for my 6-year-old daughter, and it has been a total hit! It’s like a kid-friendly version of diamond art that is much easier for smaller hands to manage.What we loved:The Bead Pen: This is the star of the show. It’s so satisfying to use—you just push it down to “pop” the bead into place. It kept her focused for a long time without the frustration of beads rolling everywhere.Creative Storytelling: Unlike other kits where you just make a picture and you’re done, this one comes with background scenes. She loved decorating the “Story Pals” (the unicorns and princesses are adorable) and then moving them around the scenes to tell her own stories.Low Mess: As a parent, I really appreciate that this isn’t a “glue and glitter” situation. The beads stay in the pen or the tray, making cleanup a breeze.Skill Building: It’s great for her fine motor skills and patience, but it feels like pure play to her.If you’re looking for a rainy-day activity or a birthday gift for a creative child, I highly recommend this kit. It’s high quality, adorable, and actually keeps them engaged!

Focus, care, and fine motor skills all wrapped into one kit
This Purple Ladybug “My Beadstories” kit in Unicorn and Princess is perfect for my almost 6 year old. The kit arrives nicely shrink wrapped with everything packaged neatly and ready to go- all you have to do is open it and show your little one how to use the bead pen. There is no waste in the packaging and it’s thoughtfully arranged.My daughter mastered the ability to use the bead pen very quickly and the kit kept her busy for quite some time. She loved having her choice of the 3 scenes and incorporated the scene into deciding which pals to complete first.The kit comes with 19 story pals (including 4 unicorns, a dragon, a castle, a carriage, 4 people, and some nature pals) everything needed to create a story in one of the 3 provided scenes or backgrounds. The backgrounds are sturdy and will last a long time.I love that the kits instructions encourage your kid to be creative- they don’t have to use the same color as the pals background. I appreciate that once your child knows how to use the kit, they can do almost all of it on their own, and at their own pace.I love that there is very minimal mess- your main mess risk is when filling up the empty bead pen- we had a few bead roll away but they were easy to spot on our hard floor. It’s so nice that they give you an empty pen and include 5 packs of additional colors to use. Your child will have to plan ahead a little with regard to which color or how many bead to fill the extra pen with if they’re insistent on doing things in a certain order. My daughter figured out she could also use her finger tips to push in the beads and chose to do that for certain colors.The story pals are a nice and thick rubber. If your kid needs to remove a bead, it is possible with a little bit of tact and a paper clip or pin.I really appreciate the tactile aspect of this kit and think it’s a great tool for your child- it requires focus, care, and fine motor skills and encourages creativity and story telling.This is a great kit which I would happily give as birthday present or gift to her similarly aged friends. There’s a lot of value here and it’s worth the cost for the skills your child will practice when playing with the kit.

Super fun and easy! Love the bead pen, super easy but fun to use
When I first ordered this, I wasn’t sure how it worked, but then I received it and I realized how cool it actually is. I’ve seen these beaded “pen” stick things before and thought, how in the world do these work; don’t the bead just fall out? No! It has a “pen” tip that holds the bead. When pushed down, the bead in the tip pops out and put into place. Then you pull it up and a new bead comes into the tip, but it’s held in place until the tip is pushed down. It is the coolest thing. I’ve seen this with diamond painting, but never got it because I didn’t get how the beads stay in the pen without falling out. Well, it’s actually a really cool device. The beads don’t fall out.After getting over my excitement over the pen I started to actually try it out on one of the unicorns and it works great! I could see how this would be a fun craft. I’m saving it for a rainy day to do with my four year old, but it’s easy enough I think she’ll take to it easily. It comes with storyboards and the silicon characters. I started putting purple beads in the purple unicorn then read the instructions and it says to make more of a “pop” to go with contrasting colors and it really does make it stand out more. It was easy to remove the beads too so if you wanted to do it over or your child decides they don’t like the coloring, it was easy to remove the beads by bending the silicone character to pop the beads out.Not only do you get to craft with the beads in the silicone characters, you also can storyboard and place your characters down – glue dots included to adhere them to the story board. Or you can choose not to glue them down and let your child play out stories with the characters. But either way, I’m excited to do this with my four year old.
