Best hunting stool yet
I’ll start with my only gripe which is nothing to do with the product itself – I wish they made this in a camo option or at least flat finish on the legs. With a sharpie and some flat spray paint that won’t be an issue for long…Other than being too shiny for my needs – this stool rocks. Here’s why:1: it’s incredibly light yet very tough. I’m a large man and loaded with hunting gear I’m pushing the stated weight limit…not quite there but close enough to say they’re not exaggerating its strength. And I’ve abused it – I’ve been using it in about 6-8” of snow with temps in single digits to teens for 8-12 hours at a time then leaving it in the cold car or on the deck outside in between uses. Aluminum and plastic usually get brittle in the cold, but no issues here so far. I’ve been burying the legs in half-frozen mud, jamming them into the dirt between tree roots, and otherwise doing things I expected would harm them. No damage. The rubber feet haven’t pulled off or even moved. Let’s aren’t scratched, thing looks brand new still.2: the swivel works great and for hunters – SILENTLY. As I said above, I’m pushing this things capacity and it’s still silent, even when cold, wet, off-center, etc. Smooth and quiet – what every other purpose made hunting swivel stool I’ve ever used has claimed and lied about. This one nails it.3: it’s surprisingly comfortable. 3 legged stools like this are not designed to be a lazy boy recliner – but this one is among the better ones I’ve used. Sitting for long stretches in the cold as an overweight dude means a sore backside 90% of the time no matter what you’re sitting on. This thing with no added padding was great. The footprint is small so after a while it became necessary to reposition but that’s been my experience with every stool of this style (and there had been many…)4: It’s easy to carry and assemble – yes, it could be challenging for some younger/older/weaker (not meant in a mean way, point being if you have compromised joints or something else limiting strength, this may be a challenge for you) but the average human should have no problem assembling this thing. And again, for hunters, this can be assembled silently. If you take care (but not too much) the legs can lock into place quietly. If the legs jostle around they’ll make noise but I have taken no extra precautions to silence them so far and the only noise I made was user error when I bounced the aluminum legs off other gear I was carrying.5: bag is nice touch and works well as intended, but I tied mine up and put it loose in my main bag to avoid more zippers and snapsGrand Trunk is a good company, I’ve used other gear from them and it’s all been well thought out, well made, and reasonably priced. Don’t have a ton of their gear but this stool has impressed me. I’m buying more for my brothers and hunting buddies. In my opinion this could be among the best hunting stools on the market with a few minor updates:1: camo or dark/flat colored fabric2: camo or dark/flat legs, ideally with a rubbery coating to help make them even quieter (small weight add but worth it) – I may use spray on plasti-dip on mine, we’ll see3: Instead of the bag with a zipper, a carrying strap without Velcro or snaps – like a Voile strap4: maybe a slightly larger size option with a larger seat foot print and longer legs5: pointed feet, so you could twist up the rubber and expose points for grabbing into the ground better – like many hunting tripods haveThink a few small upgrades would make this even better, but as it is it’s still my favorite hunting stool.Awesome product. One of the best Amazon purchases I’ve made in a long time.

lightweight but very low to the ground
This is a high quality stool the is easy to put together and take apart although I can see that for some, it might be slightly difficult to set up or take down. It’s very lightweight and small enough to fit in a small backpack. I take it w me when I go to the court to play pickleball so I am always guaranteed a seat in between plays. It’s stable but just barely enough room for me (180lbs, 5′ 10″) to sit on and I like the fact that you can rotate 360 degrees. I’ll definitely take it camping and feel that this item is definitely worth the money.

Impossible to assemble (defective product)
Totally defective. This stool is impossible to assemble, the cushion seat is so tight that you cannot stretch it to the rods. I have had several types of this chair before. I tried everything I could to assemble this but it is impossible.

Little expensive but a great little chair
I like this seat it’s swivels when my knees hurt. I can just pull it out. Open it up. Sit down. Use my camera monopod and take pictures. Very compact very strong. I’m 235 pounds packs up to about the size of a medium size thermos.

Sturdy, Well Made, Comfortable & Light Weight.
I’m hoping there will be a Tall version built soon. This little chair is now a standard part of my landscape photography kit especially astrolandscapes. Yes it would weigh & cost more. Using a seated position to fine focus the camera is helpful & that’s where this stool comes in. A taller stool would allow raising the camera to ge over weeds & brush. A taller version would get a 5 star rating from me.

Well made but not comfortable
I really really want to like this chair… However…It is super lightweight. Unlike what is written in a lot of the reviews I looked at before buying, I find that the chair is not difficult to put together. There are three slots/holes that the base poles go into. Two have finger pulls on them and it was pretty easy to figure out that you insert a pole into the hole without a finger pull first and then do the other two. Is it “easy?” No, but it’s not hard either. Once the first pole is in you use the finger pulls to insert the other two. This makes the chair very sturdy. I’m sold on that. (check)Again, unlike what some others have said, I find the bag to be well constructed. The material is lightweight, but sturdy. There is a strap with loops along the side where you could attach things with carabiners (nice touch). (check 2)That all said, what surprised me (because I didn’t see a single review that mentioned it) is how uncomfortable the chair is. Sitting on it makes you feel like you are being stabbed once in the crotch and twice in the butt. I feel like some type of padding could have been added to the seat to make it more comfortable. I am going to try to see if putting my inflatable Klymit seat cushion helps, but I feel like that defeats the purpose and causing me to bring two things (more weight) for something that I just want one of.Ultimately, what I really wanted was the Byer of Maine Tri-Lite folding stool, but that isn’t made anymore. I was hoping this would meet my needs, but I do not believe it does without some modifications. No one wants to be stabbed in the groin and butt after hiking all day.

A great solution for carrying a small foldable stool chair without much size or weight
Love the folded size and its light weight – I can fold up this stool chair and place in a sling pack, carry it around barely noticing it, only to deploy it when I want to sit down such as in a long line. When open, the chair is a bit low to the ground (because it is small) – definitely not a normal height chair, maybe sits about as high as a coffee table – however if the alternative is sitting on the ground, a curb, or a rock, this chair is the more comfortable alternative. It also swivels, and feels stable doing so. It also feels very strong for its size. It easily supports 250lb humans. Deploying is simple, however not as quick as an umbrella – pulling the seat cover tightly around the upper legs takes a few tries, but this could be because the chair is new and the fabric may stretch out with repeated use. Either way, for a tiny, useful, chair, this works great.

Chair seems OK. I am 6ft 3 and 110kg and it has only a little flex on the legs which feels within acceptable limits. My only concern is the legs have no pads to stop the pipe punching through the rubber feet. I have added some padding inside the rubber to hopefully prolong the inevitable punch through that others have experienced. Overall a nice comfortable and light weight chair that I look forward to many years of meaningful connection with

I picked this up after seeing some YouTube videos about it. It is lighter and more compact then my current tripod chair. I love the swivel, it will come in handy when using cause you can turn the whole chair rather then twist you body. I’ll gues I’ll have to see how long the swivel will last, but it seems pretty good construction

Worth paying the extra for a swivel stool that really works.
