Perfect tool for DIY car repairs and maintenanceI’m not a professional mechanic but I do all the maintenance on my vehicles and the BLCKTEC 460T has been one of the best tools I’ve picked up in a while. The setup was as simple as plugging it in. It read the VIN on my Accord right away and scanned the whole system without me having to enter anything.The first time I used it was when my check engine light came on. It turned out to be a small EVAP leak,with the tool’s free companion App RS2, which I installed on my phone and paired it with my 460T, it explained what that meant and the most likely causes. I tightened the gas cap, cleared the code, and the light stayed off. That alone saved me a trip to the shop.I’ve used the throttle relearn after cleaning the throttle body and it worked perfectly. The scanner gave clear instructions and I could watch the values change in the live data screen. I’ve also used it for oil resets and to check battery health. The RS2 app is a nice bonus since it gives repair cost estimates and recall info right from the scan.It feels sturdy, the cable is thick and not flimsy, and the case makes it easy to store. For someone who likes working on their own cars, this scanner pays for itself in no time.

Great value, more functions for the same price as other scanners
The first time I used this scanner was right after replacing the brakes on my truck. I needed to bleed the abs system and my old scanner could not do it. I plugged this one in, picked ABS brake bleeding from the menu, and it walked me through the whole process. The instructions were clear and it finished in a couple minutes. no guessing and no extra trips to the shop. It felt good knowing I could do the job myself start to finish.When I was shopping for a scanner I kept finding models in the same price range with only 9 or even just 4 reset functions and reviews saying some of them did not work. This listed 12 plus resets and that was the main reason I gave it a shot. I have already used throttle body relearn, EPB reset, battery registration, and every single one worked without a problem. You could use the compatibility checker on their website to see if the tool works for your car.The screen is big and easy to read, and the cord is long enough to move around the car, and it comes with a case so it stays protected in the garage. for what it costs this scanner does more than anything else I found in the same price range.

I bought the BLCKTEC 460T after my old scanner finally gave out and I’m glad I upgraded. The first thing I noticed was how quickly it connects. I plugged it into my Silverado, it read the VIN instantly, and within seconds I was looking at every module in the system. Tried it on a friend’s Honda and it was just as fast. No typing in year or model, no wasted time.What really impressed me was how deep it goes into the systems. It picked up an intermittent ABS fault that hadn’t even triggered a dash light yet. I used the live data to watch wheel speed sensors in real time and confirmed which one was acting up. Ended up fixing it that same day instead of waiting for it to get worse.The reset functions are solid too. I replaced the brake pads and used the electronic parking brake reset without a hitch. The ABS bleeding walked me through each step, no guesswork. I also ran the battery test just to see how it worked and found out my alternator was undercharging slightly. That’s the kind of thing that could have left me stranded.The screen is bright and easy to read even in the garage. The included case keeps everything organized.
