Once they get to sleep, they sleep.
Works for my pups but some nights I have to give two. There have been no negative effects.I have a 8 yr old Boston who gets nervous about any noise. So some evenings, she just needs help going to sleep. It takes the edge off. I also have a 17 yr old yorkie who has episodes of doggy sundowners. She weighs 10lbs and gets two most nights. Some nights just 1. During her episodes, she has to pace circles around my dining room table and coffee table for about 30-45 mins. After she’s got that out her system, she’s ready for bed and stays asleep for 6ish hours.We haven’t used to help with car riding anxiety which our Boston has. Pretty sure, she’d need a prescription for that.

Fera Pets Dog Calming Chews are a helpful supplement for dogs that get anxious during storms, travel, or when left alone. My dog seemed relaxed but not a lot. She liked the taste. Overall, a good option for helping reduce mild anxiety.

Great for our little Aussie
I picked these calming chews up for my mini Aussie, who is still under a year old and FULL of puppy energy. Anyone with an Aussie knows they’re basically little balls of lightning, so I wanted something safe to take the edge off when she gets too wound up.She takes these like a treat—no hesitation at all, which is a big win for me since some supplements can be a battle to get down. They’re soft enough to break in half if needed, and the smell is more on the “herbal” side but not bad (this may be just how I smell it, no one else!).We’ve been using them for about two weeks now, and while she’s still a high-energy pup (that hasn’t changed), I have noticed a difference in certain situations. The biggest one is when we leave the house—she doesn’t bark nearly as much when we step out the door. It doesn’t completely “calm her down” in the sense of making her sleepy, but it does seem to help take the edge off her anxious barking.So far, I’m happy with the results and plan to keep using them to see if the effects continue to build. For a younger dog, I like that these feel more like a natural support rather than something that knocks her out.

Sad that it did not help my dogs at all…
Unfortunately, this did nothing for my Beagles (1 male, 1 female). Gave it for a month, saw no calming effect whatsoever. Extremely disappointing.

With the rain season coming in my dog is gets scared of the thunder.As soon as I heard the thunder I gave him some.In about 30 minutes he was calm and sleeping through it all.Well worth it and he loves the taste of it too

Not sure if this works or not
Like every calming chew invented, this doesn’t make much of a difference. Maybe it helps a little. My dog is a nervous wreck much of the time. I use medication for him when it’s very bad, like when my neighbors are using fireworks, and these chews don’t do much if anything. They are probably as good as anything else I’ve tried. What works better is hemp oil for dogs (and his medications) but of course that’s a bit expensive. Edited to add: the company gave me a refund. I’m sure these will work better for a dog not as anxiety-filled as mine.

My 85-pound dog was struggling with moderate separation anxiety — constant barking whenever we left, to the point where we were leaving work early or resorting to sedatives. After starting these calming supplements, the difference has been amazing. They take the edge off without making him sleepy or sedated — he’s still his usual self, walking, playing, and doing all his regular activities.He used to bark at every little noise or when the neighbor’s dogs barked, but now he’ll just wake up, listen for a second, and fall back asleep. He’s even picky with food, but he actually likes these! I’m so relieved to have found something that helps him stay calm and comfortable when we’re away. Highly recommend!

My little Henry is a very anxious dog and for no reason, even hides under the couch when I am home. These are expensive but seem to truly calm him without changing too much of his adorable presonality. I wish I didn’t have to use these but so far these seem to be a really good solution to alming his anxiety!

My dog is small and I give him one in the morning and one in the afternoon and it has made a big difference in our very over reactive dog. In the directions he is only meant to have half a chew and I am giving him two a day, yes he is still barking but not at every noise.
