Edit: Okay so… I need to own an extra bit of this. 😅 Since writing the review, I’ve watched my kitten Valkyn have the time of his life with these. He’s using them like tiny skateboards – runs across the room and goes sliding and honestly, it’s adorable. And now that I’ve had more time to think about it, the small size actually works in some situations, especially if you’re doing something like building a cat castle (which I am! 🤓). They’re the perfect size for cat “patios” or little rest areas. So while I was right about the size being smaller than expected, that one’s definitely on me for not checking the dimensions. The product does what it says – my expectations just weren’t aligned. Keeping the original review below for transparency.I’ll own my part upfront: I didn’t double-check the dimensions. I’ve bought this same style of scratcher before (not from this seller), and I just assumed I was getting what I’d always gotten. That’s on me .. lesson learned.Now here’s the part that’s on the product: for the exact same price, I now get half the size I used to. I used to get 4 sturdy, full-size pads for this price – now it’s just 2 much smaller ones that look like they’ve been on a diet no one asked for. It’s still just cardboard, not engineered cat technology or artisanal wood.And here’s the kicker: it’s so lightweight and undersized that my 3-month-old kitten lifts it off the ground every time he scratches. Yes, the kitten is winning the tug-of-war against the scratch pad.Check out the photo I attached: the older version (left) vs the new “fun-size” version (right). You’d think a cat pad would be safe from shrinkflation, but nope, even these got hit.To be clear: it works in the same way a napkin technically works as a beach towel. So if you were counting on the scratchers you’ve always known – get out the tape measure, or prepare to be very surprised.Moral of the story: trust your cart less these days… and always check the size, even when it’s just cardboard.

Not Ideal for Larger Cats
They are very small and thin. My cats like them, but they don’t last long nor function well with larger cats. The cardboard is really sturdy, so they’re tougher for the cats to scratch, which my cats like. I think they’re worth your money, but I feel buying larger ones will do better.

Extremely small
These are extremely small. My cat had trouble just getting on one. I had to tape the two together so that a cat can fit. Not worth it. Cheap material and not sturdy enough for a cat.

The cats love it
We have 3 cats. For some reason, 2 of them refuse to use scratching posts. We tried rope ones, one with a carpet texture, tall, short etc. They just won’t use them. Then we tried cardboard ones and, for some reason, that did the trick. We don’t have one of those holders for them or anything, we just place them on the floor and the cats love it. The cat who also uses the rope scratching posts, still uses these more often. Can’t say these are better or worse then other similar cardboard scratchers, cause they are basically all the same, but there’s nothing wrong with these particular ones.
