Easy to Use
We have a Scottish Terrier that needs medicine. My husband always had to use his finger to get pills down the dog’s throat. I found this and ordered it for him. It works like a breeze! It shoots the pills down the back of throat without fear of getting bitten and does not choke or gag the dog. It works for smaller tablets and caplets either round or oblong shaped, but not large capsules. Very easy and effective.

Works great for our cat
Honestly exceeded my hopes and expectations! Our cat has to take a chemo pill every 2 weeks and I was very anxious about it… if she spits it out then there is chemo residue all over, not ideal. Administered her first dose last night and this tool made it a breeze! I will admit the pill was slightly loose at first, resolved this by just angling the pill so it partially in the slit for more support and that worked. My husband held her (wrapped in a towel) and it was straightforward to put the rubber end deep, plunge, held her mouth for a few seconds to be sure and then it was done. She also takes a nightly dose of liquid medication and it’s more difficult than using this tool to administer a pill! Not sure how long it will last, but given the price? If we have to replace it then it’s not a crisis.

Works well, only for very small pills
This works very well and my dog tolerates it pretty well, 100 pound German Shepherd whereas putting pills down the back of her throat manually is quite a challenge. The diameter of this is such that small pills like levothyroxine are barely held, but I haven’t had one just fall out yet. It’s also very small so that larger pills like antibiotics cannot be retained by this, in fact, it’s probably only good at this size for those small levothyroxine type pills. I still give it a five because it works reliably and the price was good.

Good option for pill giving
Works well with cats, would imagine same with dogs. Does tend to work a little better with a capsule than the tablet, but still works. Affordable.

Great Pill Shooter!
I lost my old pill shooter, so expected this to be the same quality. However, it is so much better, and easier to use. Fast and easy. If you have pets, you need to have this. It makes administering meds so much easier.

Works only half the time, pills fall out
Works only half the time. The pills for my chihuahua are pretty small but they slip out of the shooter and I can’t cut them because they have an extended release coating. I have to stick this way far down her throat and at that point, fingers honestly do the trick better.

Great help giving capsules or tablets to my cat.
My cat is on antibiotics for life for a persistent upper respiratory tract infection and this has helped me to deliver the capsules without getting bit and it is quick and easy. I also use it to administer his monthly flea meds as it holds a tablet as well as capsules. I butter the capsules and tablet first and they go down smoothly!

Pill Shooter is a life saver
This pill shooter pretty much works every time. My dog sits still and lets me do it. If your dog won’t let you open his or her mouth, don’t buy it.
