Step 1: Prep The Area
Start by removing any solid or excess waste. Blot the area to lift surface moisture and prep the stain so the enzymes can get straight to work.
Step 2: Saturate & Activate
Thoroughly saturate the affected area — don’t be shy. Allow the formula to sit for 15–20 minutes so the bio-enzymes can penetrate deep and break down stains and odors at the source.
Step 3: Lift & Purify
By now, stains and odors should be broken down. Blot with a clean, dry cloth to absorb excess moisture and lifted residue. Avoid rubbing! Blotting lifts everything out without pushing it back in.
Step 4: Complete or Repeat

Works Well And Has A Pleasant Odor
Having a puppy can be very challenging sometimes as accidents happen on the floor or rug. I found that escorting a puppy out first thing in the morning, after naps, after playtime, and generally every few hours throughout the day helps to reinforce the “go potty outside” encouraging words. I read somewhere that “play makes pee,” and I found it to be true, and so play sessions inside should be followed by an escort outside.Anyway, this Ruff Stuff maximum strength BioEnzyme stain remover works great to clean any accidents and eliminate the urine odor. If the odor remains, that could signal to a puppy that it is okay to go there again, and so it is important to have that odor removed. In fact, if you have disposable puppy pads that have been urinated on, it is helpful to put those outside in the area where you want your puppy to learn to go as the puppy will smell the prior pee and relieve himself/herself in that area, and eventually, you can take the pad away.Application is easy and straight-forward; instructions say to remove excess waste, saturate the area, wait 15-20 minutes, blot, and then air-dry. I found that it works well for vomit on carpets as well. I like that it is fabric and color safe and that there are plant-based ingredients. It is recommended to keep pets and children away until the area is fully dry. I am pretty sensitive to strong cleaning odors and can get a headache from overpowering scents, but this scent is light and lemony and didn’t bother me at all.Overall, this is a must-have for anyone with pets as pets make messes from time to time and for human messes too.

This stuff does work, to eliminate the visible stain as well as the odor. At least the odor as far as a human (me) can tell. Dogs have a far greater sense of smell than humans do, but it seems to remove the odor for dogs as well, or at least to the extent that they’re not interested in that specific spot anymore.The vast majority, if not every single stain we have comes from a guest’s dog. I recently acquired a UV flashlight and there are far more stains that I had been aware of. I sprayed this Riff Stuff on all those spots, and there’s no trace of any odor.However, this stuff will not remove whatever is left behind that shows up under UV light. To be fair, I’m not sure if any enzyme type cleaner can do that. The residual stains aren’t visible under normal light, but now that I know they’re there I’m a little wierded out by them. Might need a professional carpet cleaner to remove whatever residue is still there.In any case, this stuff works as good as any other I’ve tried over the years and I’d order it again if I have the need. Next time we have a guest that has a dog, I’ll make sure to have enough on hand just in case.

This stuff works, simple as that! I have 3 dogs and sometimes, that’s not as great as it sounds haha! The accidents in the house happen more than we’d like…this stuff make cleanup easier and less offensive. First off, it has a real nice smell…and it cleans really well. No residues left over to be seen at all. Very glad to have found this as it replaces my other products. If you have dogs, you’re gonna want a bottle of this stuff!

Slight, pleasant citrus scent that does not linger forever
I’m always happy to find products that do not contain a truckload of chemicals! After spraying an area, there is a lovely citrus-y scent. I have not found any “stains” to use it on yet, but there have been “accidents” and it worked great. When using the sprayer, there is no leakage from the nozzle or the top. I’m also pleased that a little goes a long way, so there is great value for the money. Overall, a great product!
