I was using Sharpies long before Donald Trump brought Sharpies to the forefront, to help me create lists and coversheets. Since I worked for state government, I only had a limited selection of brands. I tried a variety of highlighters but the tips were too big and the colors too light. Occasionally I could snare some Dri-Erase Expo Markers which were more color saturated than highlighters and not permanent. But the best were the Sharpies. They were the best quality, came in an amazing assortment of colors and sizes, and dry instantly. My favorite ones are the fine point, which isn’t as fine a point as you would expect, but perfect for making clear, decisive lists. The only problem I have with them is I tend to misplace them, especially frustrating if I’ve left the top off. So I order them by the dozen so I never am without one. But remember, these are permanent, boy are they permanent! Just make sure you put the cap on before you set it down and make sure your 2 year olds, child and dog, don’t get ahold of it!
