I deducted a star for a few reasons. First for the weird smell that always lingers after I am done. I don’t know what it is but some have likened it to burnt hair. I don’t think it smells like burnt hair but it’s not exactly pleasant either.The other thing I deduct for is how heavy it is. I mean don’t get me wrong, it does the job well but it weighs more than my blow dryer and any other hair curlers / tools which is just weird. I don’t know why it needs to be so heavy.The last thing I deduct for is that it gets really hot to touch so if you try to hold it with your other hand around the clamp for extra support if you touch it anywhere besides the little skinny gray pads at the top of the device you will burn the crap out of your fingers. You may as well make at least half the outside of the clamp end the heat resistant rubber.The actual crimping and the way my hair holds it is the reason I still love this product. I can go three days without washing my hair and it holds the waves perfectly!

Fantastic waver for hair that holds a curl
I own (and love) both the Tymo straightener and hair dryer, so this was a no-brainer when I was looking for a waver. The only problem is that my hair apparently refuses to hold a curl, and by the next morning, any waves that hadn’t already fallen out were completely gone. I tried. I ended up returning it, but wishful thinking on my part does not make this waver any less great. If your hair holds a curl, it’s actually a fantastic product. Quality made, easy to use, and has multiple heat settings based on your hair’s texture. I’m a Tymo fan, so I’m not about to let my own dumb hair get in the way of a positive review. This waver is the one.

I have fine hair so not all hair tools work well on my hair. This one is easier to use than other wavers that I have tried. With a little patience, I can get a really nice crimped wave look that lasts the whole day. Work through the hair in sections and it turns out well.
