Excellent for safety and self-reliance
Although I already have jumper cables, I purchased this so that I would not have to rely on others if it’s late at night or I’m in a remote area. I like that it is a compact jump starter, yet has no issue starting my six cylinder 2011 Impala when the battery is too low to crank. It’s easy to use, and all all you need to do to maintain it is fully charge the power bank every two to three months. The jumper clamps feel solid and the reverse polarity protection gives me confidence.

For Small Care Jump Start
This model 5X is a 1000Amp peak current jump starter battery. The 1000Amp current claim is high and difficult to actually measure and confirm, as it would only sustain this current for seconds, at best. You can however count on a small 4 cylinder car, under 4L capacity, such as a Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, to start on 250 to 450 Amps for a second or two and this may get its motor started, provided its main battery has some life left in it.I would not count on this small jumper to start an engine without help from the main cranking battery.If you have a motorcycle or small engine to jump start, you may find this useful. The main thing to remember is that it is just a Jumper and cannot deliver the sort of cranking amps that a car cranking battery can. It has a small 10 Amp Hour Lithium battery that amounts to a fraction the usual capacity of a full cranking battery. That means you are relying on the main car battery to deliver a good amount of the current and this charger will just help raise the voltage to give the starter motor a few extra “jolts”.You may not really know if this will do the job until the day comes you need it. It then depends on how flat the main starter battery is at that time. Moral of the story is to pull this “little cranker” out early, and try a jump start long before the main starter battery gets drained below its usefulness. Remember it is best to give the batteries a few minutes to de-polarize between cranks.The construction is very good and feels solid. It has LED lights which in itself gives it good purpose, along with a USB A charger outlet.It is in fact almost pocket size so takes little space in the glove box. Remember to keep it charged. It can be charged using the albeit short, USB C charging cable from, any USB A port.

Mobile power.
I charged this unit a couple of months ago. It has been in the trunk of my car since. For S&Gs, I decided to use this to charge my phone instead of plugging into the car port. Three bars later, my phone is charged, and the meter on the device just went from 4 dots to 3. I’ll charge it up again and put it back in my car. I haven’t had to jumpstart my car yet, but I know this device will have a full charge, even after a few months. It’s highly portable and has multiple features. I was more interested in the power functions, and I am very pleased.

Great Quality, Going to Get For All My Cars!
DISCLAIMER OF BIAS: Item provided by Seller via Amazon review program at nominal cost to solicit my independent, objective, unbiased review of the same.Very sturdy construction of heavy duty plastic and rubber. Charged quickly. Used for the first time a few days ago and worked like a charm on the first try. The charger has been sitting in my glovebox since it’s initial charge for about a month and I don’t think there was any power leakage while on standby.Device is a little larger than I anticipated, but comes with a basic case that will fit in a typical glovebox. The terminal clamps are small, but are well constructed, open widely, and fit on my standard H6 sized automobile battery posts with ease, and with good contact. The clamp wires can be unplugged from the main unit allowing for a more compact package when stored.Included instructions are clear and while use is not compkety intuitive, the instructions have clear steps that are easy to follow, including an alternative method if the standard method doesn’t work. The same instructions are included on the device itself so no need to worry if instructions are lost. Device will alert reverse polarity and indicators make status clear.Worth it for the peace of mind and very satisfied with the quality. Cool little device that makes me seek out anyone who needs a jump! So much easier to use than jumper cabkes (and less chance of mistakes or short circuits), no more need to worry how or where cars are parked, and whether jumper cables are long enough. Going to purchase another one so all cars in my household have this device!
